I have an interview coming up with Shopify with the data engineering group. Can anyone shed some lights on what kind of programming problems I should focus on (leetcode vs real world problem solving)? Also, for system design, does Shopify usually ask problems related to their use cases, or any random generic system design question?
Three. Basic python list/dicts and pythonic iteration/comprehension etc was fairly much all I needed.
Thanks OP, how plenty of python questions were you asked to solve during your tech screening?
There we re 3 problems asked. As long as you are solid with basic python data structures (list/dictionaries) and comfortable with pythonic iteration/comprehension etc, you should be more than fine.
So far only the initial tech screen has taken place. It was more realistic python programming, not leetcode style.
