Adidas: Faking interviews

Adidas: Faking interviews

solar_ridge_6429·

I recently have gone through Adidas’s Senior Data Engineer interview. All the interviews are fake, they brought on internal contractor.(Every on-site interview lasted 10 to 15 minutes). Their are 8 openings during Dec and Jan. I have a friend who works as Adidas recruiter, so I called her to check on these jobs. She mentioned 6 jobs were already filled with internal contractors and they are still faking for a different 2 roles.

Why waste others time. You lost my business Adidas.

Sadly this is typical. Most people who gig there had same experience.

I have gone through all stages and now there is f**king radio silence...

I believe there may be legal requirements to have a job posted for a certain period of time, especially if you are giving it to non citizens.

Saying from your interview background or from experience of working there?

Their interview process is awful. Avoid it. They think they are tech but actually they are just apparel and shoe firm

Can you elaborate?

Adidas engineering is a scam! Avoid at all cost!

I realize Adidas has been sued by a contractor claiming other contractors were getting converted but they were not because discrimination. Would be nice if they could open gig reqs just to contractors and handle conversions that way. Make it fair for all the contractors to apply for the FTE role.

It's a requirement that HR has put on Adidas. Even if an engineering manager wants to convert a solid contractor that has proven their skill for over a year, they have to open a position and make it "competitive".

They are trying to earn it a fair hiring process, but in practice it obviously never works like that. Why would an engineering manager risk hiring someone based off a few interviews vs someone they know can be successful since they've been doing the job for a year? It's somewhat frustrating for both sides IMO.

I've personally fought back against ever doing those sort of fake interviews, but it's still an HR requirement to post the role for at least 7 days.

Just don't do it
