• Built large-scale data platforms, pipelines, and infra
• Experience across startups and larger companies
• Currently in the Bay Area
• On visa and available to companies that support visa transfers

Trying to understand the current hiring bar for Staff-level data platform roles.

Would appreciate insights:
• Which companies are actively hiring Staff Data Platform engineers?
• What does the interview loop typically check like?
• Is it LeetCode (Medium/Hard) or largely system design + data architecture?
• Are AI tools allowed during interviews?

Also trying to understand comp expectations in the current market.

Target comp:
• Base: ~$250–300k+ (flexible depending on remote vs office mandate)
• Open to separate comp structures (RSU / stock / ISO / etc.)
• Also care regarding team culture and the manager’s leadership style
