Interview Prompt

Two nightly imports of the same ledger should hold identical records keyed by `id_field`, but the upstream systems drift and rows diverge. Reconcile `source_a` and `source_b` into four buckets: ids only in `source_a`, ids only in `source_b`, ids in both with identical records, and ids in both whose records differ, reporting for that last bucket which fields differ and each source's value.

Summary

Two versions of the same truth.

How This Interview Works

  1. Read the vague prompt (just like a real interview)
  2. Ask clarifying questions to the AI interviewer
  3. Write and run your Python against test cases
  4. Answer the interviewer's follow-up questions, then get a hire or no-hire decision
