Interview Prompt
When a delivery runs late, we can see which stage its outbound shipment is in right now but not the path it took through picking, packing and loading, or when each stage happened. Every outbound shipment leaves from one fulfillment center and carries items from many different customer orders, while one order's items often split across shipments from several centers. Design the data model that keeps every outbound shipment's full stage history, not just its latest stop.
Summary
A package splits, reroutes, and (maybe) arrives.
How This Interview Works
- Read the vague prompt (just like a real interview)
- Ask clarifying questions to the AI interviewer
- Draw your data model on the schema canvas: tables, keys and relationships
- Answer the interviewer's follow-up questions, then get a hire or no-hire decision
